Footy stuff...

The weekend before last I took Dawson to a Member's morning at Centrebet Stadium; all the players were there as well as pass the ball and jumping castles. Daws got his jersey signed by Jamie Soward (who remembered him from St George) and got some signatures in his notebook and on Brownie's Panthers shirt and shorts. Nigel Plum said Dawson gets talked about a lot in his house (typical, that's what all the preschool parents say to me!) and Daws was very impressed when David Simmons said hello to him (remembered his name from footy, his son is in Daws' team) and then looked up from signing his book and said to everyone "He's a champion little player this one! See you at training on Friday Daws!"

There hasn't been much NRL on for us lately with byes and away games; even this weekend Panthers are in NZ and the St George game is on Monday night.

Last weekend Daws' team played Blacktown City and won again; they've won all but two games which the lost one and drew one. Daws is doing great at kicking, great aim, just needs to kick the ball a little bit higher but most of the kids can't even get it near the goal posts! Daws got man of the match this week, the poor trophy is in serious need of replacement, one of his legs is broken off and one is sticky taped back to the base!

Sick trophy...

This week they have a bye and then two weeks off for school holidays! :o

Emu V St Clair Comets

Daws was disappointed to be on the bench at the start of this game but has had a great game so far at the end of the second third. He has scored his first try for the season and has been first in on most of their tackles. He's done really well chasing down the opposition player with the ball and not giving up.

Final score was 28-4, another win for the team!

Dawson's Blog

I created this blog for Dawson so that he can share with his Gran all the things he's doing whilst she's away on holidays for three months.

I've added quite a few pictures he's drawn at preschool already on Dawson's Art page and having done so think it's probably a good idea to keep this blog going even after Gran's big trip so that I don't have hundreds of pages of drawings and school work to collect in the coming years.
